Most vehicles are accepted for entry into our Safari Drive Through except for soft top cars, motorbikes and bicycles.

If you would like to change the date of your Day Ticket(s) booking, please call the Guest Services team on 01985 844400 or email enquiries@longleat.co.uk to arrange an alternative date. There is a £5 fee per paid ticket for this service. Please note that bookings may only be moved up to three times in total, only within the same season, and are subject to ticket availability on the new date of visit.

Manual wheelchairs can be booked prior to your visit (tel: 01985 844400 during office hours). They are subject to availability. There is no charge for this service but a non-monetary deposit, such as car keys, will be required on the day of your visit.

Pre-booked wheelchairs can be collected from the Guest Services (approximately 220m from the accessible parking bays in both Silver Birch and Lime Tree Car Parks). The wheelchair can be used for the whole day but must be returned to the Guest Services at least one hour prior to closing.

We also have mobility scooters that are available for hire. They may be booked on a first come first served basis with our Guest Services team when you arrive at Longleat. They are available from Park opening to 30 minutes before the Park closes (subject to availability). There is a £20 hire charge to use one of our mobility scooters and a non-monetary deposit of car keys (or similar) will be required.

No. If you are diagnosed with coronavirus, are waiting for test results, have been advised to self-isolate, or are experiencing any coronavirus symptoms, you may not visit Longleat.

We advise you to use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do next. The 111 coronavirus service will tell you if you need to continue to stay at home (self-isolate) or if you need medical help. Visit the NHS website if you are unsure what to do.

This includes African Village, the Safari Drive-through, Koala Creek, Animal Adventure, Mammal House, Jungle Kingdom, Family Farmyard, Rockin' Rhino, Jungle Cruise, Adventure Castle, Little Explorers Garden, The Hedge Maze, Longleat Railway and the grounds and gardens. 

For the safety of our guests, Team Members and animals, some attractions will remain closed until it is safe to reopen. This includes Longleat House (including the Cellars Café, Emma's Kitchen and Lady Bath's Shop) and we are unable to offer any animal handling at this time. 

We are regularly reviewing our safety policies in line with Covid-19 guidelines, and will ensure to keep this FAQ area up to date.

Our giraffe (available only at 11:00am), lorikeet and sealion feeding is available (card payment only) however this is subject to availability on the day of your visit.

Longleat has many walkthrough areas to enjoy which don't require you to have a vehicle. Adventure attractions include the Hedge Maze, Rockin' Rhino, the Adventure Castle, the Longleat Railway and Little Explorers Garden. Animal areas that may be enjoyed on foot include Jungle Kingdom, Monkey Temple, Jungle Cruise, Koala Creek, Animal Adventure and Family Farmyard.

Our Safari Bus is up and running, so you will still have the option of experiencing our Safari Drive-through. Please note, this is an optional extra of £8.00 per person and tickets for this are sold as first come first served on the day from Guest Services. You will not be able to visit the Safari Park if you arrive via taxi/drop off, a soft top car, motorbikes or bicycles, or are unwilling to take your own vehicle through the Safari Park. Alternatively, there are VIP Tour options available to experience the Safari Park. Find out more here.

Yes, you're more than welcome to bring your own food and drinks to Longleat. We provide an outdoor picnic area, as well as limited seating around the Main Square and African Village which is free to use. During dryer seasons, there are also extensive lawns which may be enjoyed for a picnic.

We do not allow the use of barbeques, camping stoves or other cooking equipment on the estate for safety and conservation reasons. 

Our walkthrough areas around the Main Square and African Village have many shops and restaurants open. 

In the Safari Park, African Traders gift shop is open and the Watering Hole Café has refreshments available via a take away serving hatch.

Near the Main Square, Nature's Kingdom gift shop, Into the Wild shop and the Sweet Shop is also open with capacity management in place.

Take away food and drink services are available at Coffee House, The Picnic Basket, Pizza Piazza and The Fast Food Kitchen, as well as many seasonal pop-up kiosks throughout the year, serving delicious limited edition meals and treats.

At all of our catering outlets and shops we are accepting contactless payments only, with debit/credit cards and smart phone payments.

We do not take table bookings for our restaurants and cafes and seating is available on a first come first served basis. Food and drink is available via counter service and may also be taken away to enjoy elsewhere on the Park.

If you have a large group (12+) and would like to make special catering arrangements please contact our Groups booking team groups@longleat.co.uk.

We can cater for a wide variety of nutritional needs, please ask for information in our restaurants and catering outlets during your visit, or contact Guest Services in advance of your visit with specific queries.

You are welcome to bring your own pushchair but there are also a limited number available to hire at Longleat.

Single Push Chairs, can be hired on the day for a fee of £8 and Double Push Chairs can be hired on the day for a fee of £12, in addition we will also require car keys (or similar) as a deposit.

Hire pushchairs can be collected from Guest Services between Park opening and 30 minutes before Park closure, subject to availability.

  • Longleat House, Jungle Cruise, Longleat Railway and the Hedge Maze are not accessible to pushchairs. Pushchairs may be left at the relevant attraction pushchair park for the duration of your visit to that attraction. Pushchairs are left at your discretion and Longleat accepts no liability for loss or damage to any pushchair or personal items left unattended.
  • The Longleat House pushchair parks are at the front and rear (close to the Emma's Kitchen) of the house.
  • Some pushchair parks are not undercover.
