From the end of our Festival of Light season, we close for our annual short winter break. Please check our website and social media platforms for updates on opening times and pre-booking for our new year at Longleat.
We do not take table bookings for our restaurants and cafes and seating is available on a first come first served basis. Food and drink is available via counter service and may also be taken away to enjoy elsewhere on the Park.
If you have a large group (12+) and would like to make special catering arrangements please contact our Groups booking team groups@longleat.co.uk.
Yes, you're more than welcome to bring your own food and drinks to Longleat. We provide an outdoor picnic area, as well as limited seating around the Main Square and African Village which is free to use. When the whether is appropriate, there are also extensive lawns which may be enjoyed for a picnic.
We do not allow the use of barbeques, camping stoves or other cooking equipment on the estate for safety and conservation reasons.
Longleat Safari Drive-through, access to our on foot animal enclosures and our family attractions are included in your entrance fee. The optional extras which you are welcome to purchase on the day, subject to availability, are animal feeding experiences and riding the Safari Bus. House tours are also available to be added to a booking, or purchased on the day.
There may also be seasonal offerings such as pumpkin carving during October half term or the Santa Train over our winter season. Chargeable event activities are always optional and are payable via card only.

Absolutely. The Winter Drive Through Safari is included in Day Tickets. The Safari Park closes early due to light level- please see here for opening times Opening dates and times | Longleat
Most vehicles are accepted into the Safari except for soft top cars, motorbikes and bicycles.
*Guests with Day Tickets may book seats on the Safari Bus with Guest Services when you arrive. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis. Tickets are £9 per person (3+ years). Under 3s are free.
Once you have made your online booking, you will receive a booking reference number and unique barcode via email.
You do not need to print this email, but if you can produce the QR code (either printed or on a device) we can scan you into the Park. Alternatively, make a note of the reference number and when you arrive we will search for your booking on the system.
We no longer provide physical tickets on arrival, but do ask guests to keep their receipt in their possession throughout their visit.
We advise that all guests planning to visit Longleat pre-book using our website to guarantee entry.
Should you chose to travel to the park and we do have availability, then we will allow you to pay on the gate. Please note that Longleat is a cashless site so payment can only be made via credit/ debit card. Cash is not accepted.

There so much to see and do at Longleat, so we have provided a guide to help you get the most out of your day
Generally, we ask you to plan for the Safari Drive-through taking around 2 hours to complete, so we recommend leaving plenty of time in your day to enjoy it. Note that at peak times that the Safari may take longer.
Last entry for the Safari will vary depending on the date of visit. Last entry times can be reviewed at the below link.

Please allow 10 minutes to drive to the Safari Park entrance from our main car parks, and 15 minutes from our main enterance.
If your group are arriving at Longleat at different times, please ensure all parties have a record of the booking reference or a copy of the reference e-mail. The booking redeems upon the arrival of the first guests, and as long as our Arrivals team are made aware by this first group, guests arriving after who quote the same reference can also gain entry to the site.
Longleat is a cashless site, and we can only take payments via debit/credit card and smartphone apps such as ApplePay in all areas.

At Longleat, we offer Gift Vouchers on our VIP Experiences only.
Dogs and/or pets of any sort are not allowed on Longleat grounds, with the exception of our kennelling facilities. This includes the following areas: Longleat House and associated courtyards, the formal grounds and car parks, and the Longleat Safari Park animal areas and attractions.
Visitors bringing dogs can use the kennelling facilities (subject to availability) at the entrance to the Safari Drive-Through for the duration of the day. Advanced booking is not possible. The kennels at the Safari Drive-Through entrance are basic - we are happy for you to bring food, water, blankets or something that reminds them of home. Please note that the dogs are not supervised whilst in the kennels and they are left at your own risk. However a padlock will be provided on request.
This is not applicable to Service Dogs, although restrictions do apply. Service dogs are welcome everywhere at Longleat excluding the Safari Drive-Through, Jungle Kingdom, Jungle Cruise, Monkey Temple, Animal Adventure, Koala Creek, and Family Farmyard.

Yes, cyclists can take advantage of National Cycle Network to travel through the site. Please check which roads are part of the Network before visiting, as not all roads on site are included.
Yes, they are both open.
We would urge anyone visiting either location by car to make use of the car parks, and refrain from parking on the sides of the road. The car park gates are usually locked by 9pm. Please note that the through road at Shearwater is designated as a clearway, and is routinely patrolled with parking enforcement by Wiltshire Council.
