Vehicles such as convertibles, soft top cars and motorbikes are not allowed in the Safari Park for the safety of both our guests and the animals in our collection.

We are able to accommodate pickup trucks (as long as the bed is empty or sealed), as well as larger vehicles such mini-buses, transit vans and motorhomes (as long as there is nothing attached to the outside).

With regards to Roof Boxes, they must be solid, secure and locked, no loose parts on the outside and you do take them through at your own risk.

Please note that the final decision on the suitability of a vehicle will rest with our Arrivals team on the day of your visit.

We are able to move a booking to another date, dependent on availability. 

We can move your booking to any date we have ticket availability within the same season of the original, and the change can be actioned both before or after the date of your original visit. Please note that bookings that include Ticket Plan protection are not eligible for this facility.

There is £5 fee per paid ticket per move for this service, payable on the gate when you arrive. (Longleat is a cashless site and we will accept card payments only.) Please note that bookings may only be moved up to three times in total, only within the same season, and are subject to ticket availability on the new date of visit.

Manual wheelchairs can be booked prior to your visit (tel: 01985 844400 during office hours). They are subject to availability. There is no charge for this service but a non-monetary deposit, such as car keys, will be required on the day of your visit.

Pre-booked wheelchairs can be collected from the Guest Services (approximately 220m from the accessible parking bays in both Silver Birch and Lime Tree Car Parks). The wheelchair can be used for the whole day but must be returned to the Guest Services at least one hour prior to closing.

We also have mobility scooters that are available for hire. They may be booked on a first come first served basis with our Guest Services team when you arrive at Longleat. They are available from Park opening to 30 minutes before the Park closes (subject to availability). There is a £20 hire charge to use one of our mobility scooters and a non-monetary deposit of car keys (or similar) will be required.

No. If you are diagnosed with coronavirus, are waiting for test results, have been advised to self-isolate, or are experiencing any coronavirus symptoms, you may not visit Longleat.

We advise you to use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do next. The 111 coronavirus service will tell you if you need to continue to stay at home (self-isolate) or if you need medical help. Visit the NHS website if you are unsure what to do.

All of our advertised attractions are now open. This includes the Safari Drive-through, African Village, Koala Creek, Animal Adventure, Jungle Kingdom, Family Farmyard, the Jungle Cruise, Rockin' Rhino, the Adventure Castle, Little Explorers Garden, the Longleat Hedge Maze, Longleat Railway and the grounds and gardens. Longleat House is also available to ticket and pass holders through pre-booked 60 minute tours only.

All new VIP Gift Vouchers purchased will have an additional 6 month validity period, making them valid to book for a full 18 months.

Once you have made your online booking, you will receive a booking reference number and unique barcode via email.

You do not need to print this email, but if you can produce the barcode (either printed or on a device) we can scan you into the Park. Alternatively, make a note of the reference number and when you arrive we will search for your booking on the system.

We no longer provide physical tickets on arrival, but do ask guests to keep their receipt in their possession throughout their visit.

Visiting on peak dates

During busy periods, we require online pre-booking for all guests, including Annual Pass holders, to avoid disappointment.

An Annual Pass reservation is a £1 per person charitable donation. With all money going straight to good causes such as TUSK and Koala Life.

When pre-booking your peak time visit, you will be asked to select your preferred Safari Drive-Through entry time. You can choose from between 10am - 12pm, between 12pm -  2pm or between 2pm - 4pm. You may enter the Safari Drive-Through at any time during your chosen slot and you may visit the Main Square attractions both before and after your Safari adventure (subject to Park opening hours); the choice is entirely yours.

During these peak dates, please do not travel unless you have an Annual Pass reservation.

Off-peak visits

During off-peak periods, Annual Pass holders are not required to pre-book online. Simply arrive with your Annual Pass and enjoy your visit as you choose, including accessing the Safari Drive-Through at any time during the day, without preselecting a specific entry slot.

If you have taken out ticket protection, and are looking to request a refund, you must either visit and complete an online refund application form, or write to them at TicketPlan Limited, Evolution House, New Garrison Rd, Southend-on-Sea, UK, SS3 9BF in order to request a refund application form as soon as reasonably possible after becoming aware of circumstances.

Yes. Accessible parking bays can be found in Lime Trees Car Park, but most of our accessible bays can be found in Silver Birch Car Park.

Please display your Blue Badge (or variant) when using the accessible bays.

Baby changing facilities are available at the entrance to the Safari Park, in the Adventure Castle, in two locations beside the Main Square and in the Chameleon Tree restaurant.

The Safari Drive-through can take between 2 and 3 hours, so we recommend leaving plenty of time in your day to enjoy it.

Smoking and vaping are strictly not permitted at the Park, except in the designated areas in the African Village and adjacent to The Chameleon Tree Coffee House. They can be located via the Park Map boards or via the Longleat App. If you're unsure, please ask a Team Member.

There is no charge for parking at Longleat.

Longleat is an all weather attraction, made up of a combination of indoor and outdoor areas. Please bring suitable clothing and footwear during inclement weather.

Enjoy your very own self-catered Longleat Cottage, boasting views out over either the Safari Park’s East African Reserve or the sprawling lawns of Longleat House.

We do not accept dog walking in the following areas: Longleat House and associated courtyards, the formal grounds, landscaped gardens and the Safari Park and Main Square attractions. This is not applicable to Service Dogs, although restrictions do apply.

Dogs (including service dogs) are not allowed in the Safari Park for animal welfare reasons. Kennelling facilities are available on a first come first served basis which are located at the entrance to the Safari Park. Dogs are not supervised whilst in the kennels and left at the owner's own risk.

The kennels at the Safari Park entrance are basic so we would strongly recommend you bring a water bowl and blanket for your dog to use, as well as something to help keep them entertained.

Service dogs are welcome everywhere at Longleat excluding the Safari Park, Jungle Cruise, Animal Adventure, Jungle Kingdom, Monkey Temple.

Please note, due to the current coronavirus restrictions and limited capacities in place on our park, the Pleasure Walk is currently closed to all walkers.

If you wish to walk your dog, then you can do so on the Pleasure walk which is accessed on foot by the Bath Arms in Horningsham. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and owners are expected to clean up after their dogs at all times. There is no access to the rest of Longleat once you reach the bottom of the Pleasure Walk and no other dog walking on the estate is permitted.

This is only permitted during the Pleasure Walk's opening hours, and Longleat reserves the right to close this area without prior warning.

Yes, cyclists can take advantage of National Cycle Network to travel through the site. Please check which roads are part of the Network before visiting, as not all roads on site are included. 

Yes, they are both open.

We would urge anyone visiting either location by car to make use of the car parks, and refrain from parking on the sides of the road. The car park gates are usually locked by 9pm. Please note that the through road at Shearwater is designated as a clearway, and is routinely patrolled with parking enforcement by Wiltshire Council.
